The main experience I thrived for in DarkRP was role-playing and socializing, everything else (jobs etc) were just an addition to that, the core focus of present day DarkRP seems to be centered around just PVP, being better than others, sad.
Bad communities, with addons that don't contribute anything to the roleplay experience, is what I experience in 2019. Owners have this annoying delusion that more addons somehow increases gameplay potential, but in reality it's not the content that I play for, it's the community, cause that's the only catch that had me sticking around servers for a long time.
Every present day DarkRP server is pretty much Free-For-All death-match, with shitty, laggy- generic addons, VIP ranks that are just ridiculously powerful & out of control. Tons of greedy servers existed back then, but we had good servers to balance them out. Played around the same timeline from what I can remember.
